Finland’s long cold winters and short cool summers don’t translate to a chilly population. But overly expensive gifts and other demonstrations of ostentation or wealth could get you the cold shoulder in Finland where such are considered in bad taste by many. Moderately priced, good quality gifts reflecting your Finnish recipient's interest will be well received, however.
